The Nude
by David Pekrul
copyright 04-07-2005

Age Rating: 10 to 127

A girl wearing nothing walks on the beach,
And people recoil in disgust.
What's that girl doing, they all want to know
Her behaviour could cause some to lust.

But she isn't out there to create a scene,
She isn't there thinking she's lewd.
She doesn't mean to be crude or obscene,
The girl just wants to be nude.

The moral of the story is simply this,
Let people live as they may,
What seems so bizarre and strange to some,
To others is really okay.

A nice lighthearted story on a beach with a nude woman. Who wouldn't like tht? Again I can't even find "nit picks"(nits).Flowed smoothly. Perfect meter. Interesting yet simple rhyme words.

Did you dream this?

If I wouldn't offend anyone in my old age, I'd not hesitate to be nude publically. It's just more comfortable that way. But because I wish to spare any possible onlookers from forthcoming nightmares... I will keep my bathing suit on. :-)

It's better this way, they can get lost in my eyes and forget all about the damage time and two pregnancies have have done to my body. :-D

I think the body should not be seen as separate from the soul, and it can be used and enjoyed properly in accordance with God's will. Your message reminds me of the poems of Rumi or Whitman, both of whom exult in the joy of our God-give bodies.

I liked this poem because it's real. Our society can't always lift the box that keeps them trapped in the norm. I think what you have is here good because in order to truly be nude, one needs to go beneath the surface.
