Armageddon

by Brian Dickenson (Age: 79)
copyright 04-09-2005

Age Rating: 10 +

Written at the time of the Cuban missile crises.
Unfortunately, I think this is just as relevant today.

Missiles in the afternoon,
Armageddon; coming soon.
See the greatest show on earth.
World on fire; new suns birth.

Latest in the firmament.
Hells own rockets; heaven sent.
Nations gone; mountains raised.
All Gods children: Vaporised

Good points! A good start for something more. How come you never went farther with this?

Well, maybe the big bang was someone else's Armageddon!?

Well written and well structured. You are without a doubt, the most elegant writer out here.

As they say, Strong is fighting. It's hard, and it's painful, and it's every day.

So many questions left unanswered.

To just imagine what it must have been like to live back then, I imagine is even scarier than what its like to live life now under this natural disaster named George Bush Jr. LOL

Wonderful work, very chilling

I have been to Armegeddon in Israel it is a desolate spot. The missile crisis passed but somewhere in the world there will always be another threat. The end of the world well they say it started with a bang.

That reminds me of some dream I had during the day. It truely felt like I was dead. I just waited for the end to come. This can be felt if you imagine it like I did. Great job!

Woah - This is the first work I have read of yours and I feel the depth and the emotion not only of what's written... but of all that's not as well. Good job. I've read it multiple times already. I have a feeling I will be reading it again before the evening's over.
