As she lies dormant with nothing to say
a vote taken by congress about food.
What is the reason for all the dismay?
Why is it they must always act so crude?
Does her breathing say that she is alive?
Do we dismiss the air that fills her lung?
Is it too late to say that she survives?
Look at the web the doctors have strung.
What's the answer to the question of life?
What makes us think we have the right to choose?
That it is time to end all our strife
who gets to decide if someone should lose?
Terri left us without saying goodbye.
God should decide it's time for us to die.

There are those that suggested we remove the tube from my mother when she was in her vigilant coma... but I knew she could hear and see us though she could not respond. The nurses said we were in denial and got fed up withour incessant visits. Well, She came around. It took awhile, but she did. And know what? She said she could hear and see us and feel us as we held her hand and put lotion on her feet!!! She heard the nurses complaining about her too! I am SOOOO grateful I did not listen to them, that we did NOT pull the tube, and that she was given the chance to recover because God is not done handing out miracles yet!!!!!
