Listen!
by Kimberly Angelone (Age: 38)
copyright 04-21-2005

Age Rating: 10 to 127

It only happens when I'm down,
Only when I wear this frown,
The words will flow and come and go,
Falling from my lips, very slow, so....

Listen when I'm crying out,
When I cry, when I pout,
It's then you'll hear me, loud and clear,
It's then you're inside, oh so near.

Words pour right out, with all that's true,
They make no sense, ah, yes they do.
Look at me, and listen close,
It's at this time, I need that most.

It pours right out, I sound insane,
All the heartache, all the strain.
I look at me, I look at them,
I sit around here and wonder when...

When will the time, stop for me,
When will I get, my chance to see,
My perfect smile, my faithful friend,
May I never have, to write again.

You have it about right. New love, or love lost will always make the words flow. I've always thought if you can't feel it, don't write it, otherwise it sounds like a greetings card.
Brian.

I, too, cannot right unless I have something important to say. Otherwise, it's just babbling or showing off.

Jim
