Bitter Sweet Love (another sequal to The Other Girl's Shadow)
by Katie Langolf (Age: 22)

Bitter Sweet Love (another sequal to The Other Girl's Shadow)

His heart has mended
As I said before,
But it is someone else
He loves much more.

Though I still love
Him dearly,
Our friendship means
Much more to me.

Even though I wish
Him to be mine,
I know my heart
Will mend in time.

He is happy with her
And loves her dearly,
And so with this in mind
I bow out gracefully.

My one wish thus far
Is for me to fall in love
As they are.

A great last line and a wonderful poem. I hear the voices of anguish and courage, side by side.

Bravo,

Rich

That is real love, to love for love sake. A lot of people wouldn't be able to do what she did. Very inspiring and insightful. flows nicely too.

Irina.

Being able to just remain friends is probably the best in this type of situation. Good write, Katie.

Unrequited love. An age old story. You have done well to move your life on.
Always remember, there are usually a LOT of frogs to kiss, before you find your prince.
Brian.

Love can't be forced and if love for was not there, then it is better that you can move on. Love will find you in time, usually when you least expect it! Good write! Anthony

How giving and considerate, to bow out when so many others throw a fit and try to destroy the happiness the other has found. I like this attitude and hope that you DO find your own happiness! :-)

I noticed that your bio says you're a sailor moon expert. Well, I never read or saw anyhthing about them really until I tried to enter a contest and the poem HAD to be about Sailor Moon. I'd love your advice on whether or not it's correct in everything.

Either way, thanks for posting your feelings and sharing them with us all here at PnP!

I'm glad to see that you have moved on. I'm sure your Prince Charming is waiting just around the corner. Write a great poem for us when you find him.
