Like waves surging
Over a lonely beach,
Two desolate people
Strive to reach,
For a happiness
They once knew,
When they were in love
And the sky was blue.
But within them now
The skies are grey,
As they each demand
That the other pay,
For all that went wrong
With the dreams they'd planned,
That were washed away,
Like castles of sand.
