My imagination takes me to places I've never been
have never heard of or seen
I can go were ever

And some of us "grow up" and do all the responsible things that's expected of us, but if you had the "right" kind of childhood, that allowed your imagination to run wherever it wanted to, the end product--an adult--will be left with a gift that can be shared with the world.
The gift that you have now. Being able to capture
other minds and spirits with your writing and offering it for their pleasure.

Guess what happens to grown ups, Lauren? Some times, we lose our ability to imagine and that means that we forget to go back to childhood again. Your poem is beautiful and it flows very freely. I love they way you express your freedom!
A good imagination let's us be creative, not only in poetry and stories, but also in the career we one day will choose. If your imagination is properly channeled, you will one day accomplish great things. Keep up the good writing.
