We each have a tunnel,
We each have a light,
For some it is dim,
For some it is bright.
Some tunnels are short,
Some tunnels are long,
Don't cut the trip short,
For that would be wrong.
But some say they’re tired
Of living in pain,
They say life is hard,
They can’t take the strain.
But what are the choices?
Be here or be gone,
When one chooses death,
There’s a break in the song.
The silence of death,
With no rhythm to feel,
We all feel the loss,
And a few never heal.
Please know, you’re important,
If your tunnel is dark,
Find someone to talk to,
Don’t give up your spark.
And the light in your tunnel,
Will shine there for you,
Keep your eyes on the light,
And you will get through.
