There’s a place in my mind,
Where I settle things between the darkness and light.
No longer can it hold me back,
Still running the same old track,
Leading back to you.
My mind refuses to leave,
They gauged my eyes out, it’s hard to believe.
I’m back where I first started,
Years before we lived and learned, before we first parted.
I’m tossing, turning.
Still, my mind, fixated on you.
There’s nothing left to say, or do.
I’m empty, staring at the cracks in the wall,
Wondering how long it’ll be before this place falls.
I’m left hating myself for all I did.
Swing time,
Between lightness and dark.
Swing time,
Can’t go back,
But I remain to try.
Swing time.
I’m lost,
Forgotten,
Hating my choices.
Swing time…
I’m thinking of a specific day,
The day I found you, that very night I prayed.
I prayed for you, I prayed for me.
To lets these damn troubles let us finally be.
But that prayer was a waste.
I’m lonely, cold inside,
To this very day, I still run and hide.
There’s not light, not a single light I see.
I keep running, running away from what I could be.
I’m so messed up.
Time will tell where I go.
There’s no one telling me how I’ll feel, or what I’ll know.
I’m afraid to take that last final step into a new lane,
I want you here with me, but nothing will change.
I’m so sorry that I messed up.
Swing time,
Between lightness and dark.
Swing time,
Can’t go back,
But I remain to try.
Swing time.
I’m lost,
Forgotten,
Hating my choices.
Swing time…
