I was born to love, to be loved
To walk in love, to live in love
To give all of who and what I am
To the one who gave me all I am
Born to be beloved, treasured
Valued above all else, priceless
Even before I knew how to love
When I thought I was unlovable
And had I remained lost forever
Ignorant of my true identity,
Blind to the purpose of my life
Still I would be loved, adored
I never had to earn my place
For love that is deserved is a lie
And the truth is simply this
Just as I was born to be loved,
So am I born to love, to overflow
Not to find my source within me
But to allow what I am freely given
To pour forth from me unselfishly
And as I learn who it is that I am
I learn what it means to be
Beloved

An astounding poem, Heather! I love the words, the meaning, and the last three lines bowled me over! Your writing is beautiful, superb! This was a great poem. Bravo!
Aren't all people born to love and be lovd? what goes wrong along the way? I feel as you do and feel sorry for those who have no love or cannot give love. I loved the sentiments, the beautiful words and the structure.
Your faith is strong and he watches over you and I always. When we feel alone, we are not. When we think we are unworthy of love or we feel we are not loved, we are wrong. You only have to ask for his guidence and follow his word and the love will be everlasting. Thank you for your wonderful thoughts and this poem as well as others you have written, Anthony
