Just one small voice amongst the crowd,
I try to speak up loudly,
To say there is a better way,
And state my case so proudly.
But folks are running here and there,
And no one's even stopping,
To hear the words I have to say,
For they're too busy shopping.
I say, "Hey people, slow it down,
What is your big, big hurry?
While you're out for material gain,
Your world is getting blurry".
Our lives are much too valuable,
To throw it all away,
By storing up all sorts of things,
That rot away some day.
Let's think of friends, and God and peace.
It's these that are important.
And if we do, then we will know,
Our lives will have endorsement.
