It all started
when I first saw you.
What did I do
when you saw me?
Two years are gone
we've traveled a long way,
time to say,
Happy anniversary.
I've played my games
with love and life,
sometimes right,
but then mostly wrong.
I've written my life
in prose and rhyme,
everytime
in a song.
As I sit here writing
this poem to you,
kind of true,
I just must say.
In lines of rhyme,
in verse and phrase,
a little praise,
for you today.
It's kind of queer
this little song.
Though not wrong,
it's kind of true.
It tells a story
that's hard to see,
about you and me,
me and you.
It all started
when I first saw you.
What'd I do,
when you first saw me.
Two years are gone
we've traveled a long way,
time to say,
"Happy Anniversary!"
It has been many years sense I wrote this poem and my love for my wife still grows with each sunrise we see. No matter how much time passes, I know it was the best decision I ever made, to ask her to share my life and to share hers with her. I only hope that everyone would get to experience the kind of love I have been privileged to know. God has blessed me with many things and I will always be thankful. Anthony
