I have a woofer with a wagger
A sniffer which he uses
To tell what woofers passed that way
Friends or enemies he chooses.
His wagger welcomes all his friends
He knows them by their smells
His paw he offers, his squeaky toy he lends
The telephone he answers, door visitors he tells
I'm here, the biggest bluffer in the land
I've heard you with my big steam tugs
I'll bite the nearest hand
But, when the door is opened
He joins the general band
Runs off along the passage rugs
His last word is always said
A peering round the kitchen door
From the safety of his bed.

Wow. This was a very good poem. I've always wanted a dog, and I can tell that you really love dogs. I may be only 12, but yes, I have been longing for the love only a dog can give for as long as I can remember. This is really good. I really like the 'woofer with a wagger' part; it gives the poem a good start of humor, and a sense of fun.
