Haiku is so wonderful and contagious when done well. I envision both the writer and the reader putting their souls and depth into each word, since the piece, by defined criteria, has a set format with limited words.
Here, for example, the word "Spring" must have significance and must be chosen for its relation to the other words in the poem. Using that word, I see, here, the subject's love as a beginning, the herald of an entire life getting started and bringing forth wonferful fruit, as the poem closes with the nostalgia of a a life coming to an end, or more appropriately, full circle.
