  Dear Daddy

Dear Daddy,
I want you to know that I love you SO much. You have been smoking since way before I was born. It upsets me when I think about you dieing at a young age because of lung cancer or something like that. If mom can stop you can too. I know you tried so many times to quit but it didn't work. you say *again* I'll quit on Monday so many times that I can't believe you at all. It makes me want to cry when I here my health teacher says that 87% of smokers get lung cancer! Dad don't you know that cigarettes are going to kill you sooner or later. Don't you care? Don't you want to see your grandchildren grow up, see your little girl grow, and get a job? p.s. Yesterday when I was crying it wasn't b/c you yelled at me. It was b/c I don't want you to DIE!!!!!!!

With love always,
Your little girl Shannon

I gave it to my Dad!!!! (actually I made my mom do it) he didn't realy say anything. My mom said he looked guilty!

I unfortunatley know the effects of loved ones smoking, I have suffered from it! I hope your dad takes note on how you feel, if he doesn't try hiding his cigs or something! That message, if I were a father, I would stop! Don't know what to say except that I hope he listens to you! Do me a favor and tell me how everything is now ok?

This better get through to your dad. If not, he's either stubborn or a complete idiot. I'm serious. Parents just CAN'T ignore something like this from their kids.

Good job for helping your dad! Let me know how everything turns out, and if you want someone to talk to, just email me, 'kay?

Smoking is a killer, and on of the main reasons people die in the US today. My parents smoke, and they order on line and for the last few years they've said, "This'll be the last order." I know it only makes my already angry and high tempered father madder, but I always take a jab at him saying, "Uh-huh, and I'm going to sprout wings and fly to Pluto." Or just, "Uh-huh, sure..." I'm usually yelled at, but I'm used to it. I used to spend all the time in the day with my parents, now I know it's for the better that I avoid them. That is if I want to ever be happy. You did a good job with this, and it's nice to know that you're not shy about who you love. Keep writing.

May the divine darkness be with you,
Leigh of the Commenting Crusaders

This is great. I could feel how much the love that your dad got from you. You better show him this, seriously then he will realize that the right time to quite smoking is coming. This is very sweet.

What to say, what to say.
Smoking is a huge problem, and I want you to understand that what your father is going through is tough. Don't think it's that easy, just not smoking at all. It's hard and addictivie and not that easy to stop. So, although I understand you want him to stop, I want you to understand how hard it might be for him. Maybe he's been wanting to stop, and just can't.....

Oh My God...This is so sweet!!! Show this to your dad, he will take it to heart, trust me.
