You Left Me...Alone

For many years, I was so used to having someone
to hold...
to lean on...
to trust...
But now everyone is moving on...
And sadly, you are too.
You've wandered off to a seperate path
And you left me...alone.

Friendships don't always last forever...
Yet if they did, I would still be with you.
I want to turn back time and
Tell you all the feelings from deep in my heart that I never got to say,
But it's too late, it seems, because you left me...alone.

Although now I do not have someone,
to hold...
to lean on...
to trust...
I just remember that even though you have left me alone,
Your spirit will always remain with me...
Inside my heart.

This is such a good poem.
Many people come to my island, and most I befriend. It is sad to see them leave, but in my heart, I know we will still communicate. Be together in a distant way. If some of our relationships were special, it is even more sad. Many of my friends I never see again. But it is what helps us grow stronger as we grow.
