The easiest thing to write about is always something that is important to YOU. It's always easiest to write about things that you feel strongly about.

Strong emotions. Things like love, lost love, or depression. I find that people--especially younger people (like when I was in Jr. High and High School)--write a lot about their emotions. I also realized that once I broke away from depression, it was harder for me to write, because I didn't have any of that same "soul deep" hurting. So yah...depression, love, and heart ache. At least for me.
