Destiny Tells Me
by Mika L. (Age: 15)
copyright 06-07-2005

Age Rating: 4 to 127

One minute you are here
the next you are gone

Every time I feel I will see you
fate somehow pulls us apart

Does my destiny lie within you
because it keeps separating us

One minute you come to me
the next you leave me

I don't belong with you
thats what destiny tells me
and it will stay like this

This peom flows nicely. It can be viewed in many different ways, including love or death. I think it could use some rhyming, but it could also stay the way it is and be perfect.

Great work! Involving the case that this poem seems to suggest: Just follow your heart, and what ever decision you make about the relationship with this person, as long as you followed your heart, it is the best decision.

Mika, I think this is a wonderful, simple and powerful poem. You said the right things at the right time. I think you're a wonderful writer and I hope to read more of your poetry.

Sometimes it just won't happen. That may be a sign. Anthony
