The Rain

The rain
I hear it fall.
The thunder
I hear it boom.
The lightning
I see it crash outside my window.
I sit in the darkness of a corner
watching it rain from inside.
I think it is beautiful
when it rains and lightning strikes.
I find it calming
when thunder booms.

I fall asleep to the beauty of rain.
It rocks me to sleep
and allows me to dream sweet dreams.

It's a wonderful and mysterious
thing the rain.
Showing beauty and light on the earth.

It's calming and wondrous.
It's beautiful and mysterious.
It is simply the beauty
of the rain.

Very nice, very nice. My dad sided our house this winter and when I'm working on my computer and the wind is coming from the right direction, it's really cool to hear the rain beating against the vinyl siding. Even though when it's on my wall it's almost always accompanied by 30 MPH to 50 MPH winds so it's not very relaxing. XD

Either way, I do love to walk in the rain or run laps in the rain. Okay, and for the poem itself! You have a good description of one of the many beautiful aspects of nature. I didn't find any errors in this piece, so good work! Keep writing!
