I'd Do Anything
by Delaney Lindley (Age: 18)
copyright 06-16-2005

Age Rating: 13 to 127

The place I've once called 'home' is fading
Becoming nothing more
Than a comforting dream;
A fantasy,
A memory,
Without you
All is lost to me
And I believe in nothing longer
I care no longer to scream
To be angry at myself
To try to stand on tip-toe
To measure up where everyone can see

Notice me,
Heal me,
Save me
Like I failed to do for you
For that,
I'm sorry
I couldn't be there for you
If I knew how,
I'd try
Just tell me what I have to do.

Spill my blood,
Cut out my heart,
Slash my wrists and carve your name in them?

I'll do anything
Go anywhere
To get you back

Or at the very least,

Tell you how much I love you.

A little more and it would sound like a song great poem love can hurt and sometimes it will make you bleed but remember this the truest and puress love is pain free between the two, you don't even feel pain when being strik down by an outsider trying to ripe it apart, you'll stay true trusting your heart and soul that the other is too.

I loved this poem very much and sometimes I feel the same way too. The words are nicely put together. Keep up the good work!

You don't need to cut yourself to get someones attention. You shouldn't have to hurt yourself at all to bring pleasure to someone you love. They should not want you to feel pain at all, that is real love. You want your love to be happy and pain free. I hope you find happiness. Thanks for your thoughts, Anthony
