Oh, how I wish I had love, but instead what do I get, loneliness. How I yearn for the warm touch of the one I love to keep me warm! To hold me when I'm scared and upset. To wipe away my tears when I cry. Always there when I need a friend, who understand me when no one else does. I want someone to love me for who I am and not who I want to be!

Honest and direct, though I'm not usually a fan of love poems. A lot of women are slaves to who they want to be and don't care if anyone loves them for who they actually are, and I wonder if the speaker of this poem is an exception to this or if she's just hypocritical. Maybe you could play with this piece and try to reflect one of these ideas? Just a thought rather than a suggestion.
There have been many things written about love, but the one thing that is true, is that it cannot be forced into happening, cannot be bought, cannot be contrived. Love will come when you least expect it and disappear when you are needing it the most. Then when your one true love comes along, it will stay forever.
Love is a wonderful thing but can become overwhelming and blinding. To want love is natural, just be sure not to 'fall in love' out of desperation, because that can only end in heart ache and bitter disappointment.
When you least expect it love will come along. When you look for it, it is hard to find. So just start living life the best you can and love will find you! I promise, Anthony
