I lock up my soul
I don't want anyone to get too close
I'm as useless as a cracked bowl
There's no reason for you to get so close.
I'm not crying, I just have something in my eye,
You don't have to show me fake pity
What really won't help me are buckets of lies
Is there anyone here to help me; here in this city?
I stand in a dark corner
Wondering if I really have any role in life
Unto myself, I've become a selfish mourner
So why don't you slit my heart open with a scythe?
I use to have a small glimmer of light
But I accidentally let it loose
When you talk to me, I'll cry; I just might
Cause I just want to know the pure truth.

Hi. This is Lucy's younger sister...Lucy is the girl who wrote these poems. I just wanted to tell people that I'm very sorry to say this but my sister Lucy has died. I hope you really enjoyed her poems that she wrote. She wrote more than these, but she didn't put them up. Please pray for her soul.
I like your writing style; both passive and aggressive at the same time. You play with the reader's emotions when you write and I like that! It is visually outstanding and it flows rather nicely. "Buckets of lies," "I stand in a dark corner." "So why don't you slit my heart open with a scythe." These are beautiful and well thought out lines. I think it would serve you better if you said, "...a glimmer of hope," as opposed to, "...a glimmer of light." Also, in your last stanza, it should be, "I used to...." Great job!
A poem filled with thoughts of self-pity and of pushing people away; the two things that will eventually destroy what little hope we have. You have expressed these feelings well. Perhaps someone can learn from this by seeing themselves in your description.
Good work.
