You sent me flowers, wrote me elegant sonnets
Tormented me until I couldn’t deny you
You held me close, and promised I would never cry
But that was a lie; you broke my heart without thought
And still I love you the more, without a reason why
So, as unworthy as I am, give me leave to follow you

Though you chase another, more beautiful than I
Her hair as red as autumn leaves, and eyes full of dreams
I beg you; beat me, simply to acknowledge I exist
Just don’t cast me away into the dim, cold night
Please, as unworthy as I am, give me leave to follow you

I beg you please, please though you love me no longer
Give me leave, as unworthy as I am, to follow you

I truely and utterly, completely love your writings. My favorite part is the repetition of the line "Unworthy as I am, give me leave to follow you." GOOD WRITE!

XOXO

SamiJo, this is poem is written elegantly and is painfully beautiful. Your passion is felt all the way through the poem. I must say though, that if you are going through this, as your poem suggest, I would advise you no to follow him. Don't sell yourself short. Ignore him! Ignoring him will make him realize that you're there. Begging him to notice you will only drive him away. Believe me, it works!
