Something Means Nothing
by Emily Garwood (Age: 21)
copyright 06-27-2005

Age Rating: 10 to 127

Something can mean nothing,
Yet nothing could mean something.
My whole world could mean nothing,
Yet to me it means something.

Some people are saved by love,
Others could be saved by music,
Books or the simple things in life,
Things that might mean nothing.

Anything can spark a memory,
Even when in the deepest depression,
You can still remember,
Smile a little.

(watch a film called 'danny the dog' you'll see what I mean as this man is brought out of a dispairing life by music and love)

Ah...and he is not the only one saved by music. An actual music group, a record label, and the followers of their message are what saved my life. :)

This is a wonderful poem, Emily!

Every person's head is a world! We are all microscopic cells that are part of God himself. This is my belief! God sees, tastes and hears, everything through each and everyone of us! Imagine! There are over six billion people on Earth! It means that God sees the color red in six billion different ways! My refuse can be someone's resources. This poem deals with this reality in an effective and simplistic way. Thank you for sharing it!

It is true that what seems insignificant to some, may be the answer to life's question for someone else! Thanks, Anthony ( Welcome to P-N-P )

Each person sees things in his/her own unique way. What is important to me may mean little to another. And you are right though, sometimes all it takes is one small thing to bring joy back to someone...A very sweet poem and a lovely read...thank you

Even if something means nothing to one person, it still means something to another. I'd say this poem is quite philosophical, which is something.
