An Unconventional Lovers Tale
We lie naked, we are lovers.
As an angelic night wind blows.
A secret that we three must keep.
There is no one else who knows.
I’m amazed at how I feel.
Amazed at how at ease.
At ease with who I am now.
At ease, naked in the breeze.
Lovers come and lovers go,
Or so they say to me
I have never lived my life that way.
So like life, I cling to us three
And though it’s not conventional.
This path that we now go.
It’s what makes us three happy.
We can nurture it, and make love grow.
So what of all these bigots.
And religions and what they do.
Who are they to condemn us?
Who says what is right for you.
They say they speak the word of god.
And live life as he deems.
Yet through the centuries of life.
They cause all the wars and hate it seems.
So if we live outside the law.
The law which they say is right,
Id rather be an outsider.
Than to always hate and fight.
We are deemed as heathens or as sinners.
A cliché it does seem.
They cannot understand our love.
It’s the devil is what they deem.
So “stuff them all” is what I say.
Let us love and be loved too.
We can still fit into everyday.
As we have done and how our love grew.
As lovers we are happy.
But see it they will not.
They will not see all the tenderness.
The three of us have got.
It’s amazing what you realise,
when you live through lies and hate.
I don’t know how I came to be.
I accept it though as fate.
Fate to be a lover,
or a husband or a wife.
Or just to be so special.
That love removes most strife.
That is what I see.
See how we have become.
We have become a life force.
Though three we have become one.
So although I sometimes feel,
I don’t deserve all this love of me.
I know just to accept I am
And accept that we are three…….
( I hate hypocrisy especially in politics and religion. This is not meant to offend but to air my views.)
