‘This picks up from the last verse of “Beneath Heather’s Feathers”by Anthony Lane Stahlhut and meets his challenge for three Heather limericks.’
When the bobbies let Heather loose,
She was tired of being a goose.
She just wanted a chance
To learn to fan dance
And put her fine feathers to use.
While learning her new profession
She had to make a concession,
To pay rent, I’m told,
Two feathers she sold
Keeping just one in possession.
But things haven’t changed with our Heather
Though she gave up all of her leather,
She continues to bloom
'Cause with only one plume
She’s dancing in the altogether.
