Death?
by Leigh G. (Age: 14)
copyright 07-08-2005

Age Rating: 7 to 127

Death
What is death?
The end of a story?
Or the next chapter?
Do we forget?
Are we reborn?
Are we living to die?
To do anything?
Can you change it?
Do we have control?
Are we real?
Or a dream?
Is it fake?
Are we free?
Are our lives planed?
Well, no matter what I won't be controlled
My life is mine and mine alone
But what after?
After our life on earth...
What happens?
Is Death to be feared?
Or to be awaited?
Is it good or not?
Who has the answers?
Does anybody?
No matter what...
I believe to live life on earth to the fullest
Love every moment
Good or Bad
If no bad was there than no good would be either
Let's live to the fullest
And go to the next chapter

Well! I think this is definetly pretty bright for someone who claims to write mostly dark poetry. ^.^ Great write. "Let's live life to the fullest / and go on to the next chapter" is something very very positive! Those are my favorite lines, and your writing style is wonderful. I'm kinda mad, 'cause I think this poem is way underrated, so here's a five. ^.^

Life's like a book, there are chapters to it and we should make it an adventure book and live life to its fullest! It made me think and its really a tough question. KW! (keep writing!)

Where will I go after I die?
Where was I before I was born?

While striving to catch the essence of birth and death in the net of reason, we must know that the task is beyond reason.

Very thought provoking poem.

~scratches head, droops shoulders, bows head, and quietly goes away~

As with everyone else, it moved me. Death is just the unknown. That is why we fear it.

Wow. This poem really moved me. A few spelling errors here and there, but otherwise, it's great. I like the 'book/chapter' analogy you used here in this poem about death. Great job.

Aside from a few spelling errors, this was a good poem about death. No one knows what death holds for us. I agree with what Debra Rose recommended-'Don't Fear the Reaper' by 'Blue Oyster Cult' is a great song and it is also about death. Actually, it's one of my favorite songs.
