Lost
Somewhere in the midst of a dream
I let go of your hand
And now love is lost to me
I'm tired of holding back
Time for me to fly
These wasted emotions
Must all well and truly die.

When I was 14 years old
I learned the truth of fate
And it was several more years after
That I learned what it was to love

Why is it one must learn through great suffering?
Why is it that pain...
Is the only way to tell between fantasy
and reality?
If pain is truth then please, please...
Let me live in fantasy forever.
In my fantasies I can fly
I can overcome any obstacle
And my friends are true, honest and powerful allies.

Here in the land of truth,
Everyone lies.
Money is all that matters
And friends are people you use to become number 1.

So let me alone now...
I'm going back to the land of dreams.

Sweet and sad, the two elements poetry boasts. Beautiful write, Kat! People say that we have to make our dreams come true. But I feel that there is a barrier between dreams and reality, a barrier that cannot by any means be overcome. Beautifu write, Kat!

I sense the despair, here too. A pessimistic piece, but well conveyed.

It is up to each of us to face our reality and in doing so make it a better place.
This is a very good write. Hope to read a lot more.

We come to this land of reality to learn as much as we can; then we do it all over again. Without suffering, this wouldn't be possible. Suffering is what keeps us "Real." This poem has very interesting sentences and very good questions.
