My Country Strong And Free

  My Country Strong And Free

(Sung to the tune of ‘Oh, Canada’)

Oh, can’t you see,
My country’s strong and free,
I love this land,
And for it I will stand,
From sea to sea,
It encourages me,
To be everything I can,
And when I am down,
I will hear the sound,
Of the bagpipe military band.
It’s very true,
What I was taught in school,
O, Canada,
You make me what I am,
O, Canada,
I’ll love you all I can.

You and Euna both. lol, she has a beautiful poem dedicated to Canada too.

It seems you never hear of people living in Canada screaming that they hate it. Well...maybe accept the people in Quebec who want to make it their own seperate country (they're still trying to do that, right?)

I've never heard the tune to O Canada, except maybe televised once on a hockey game. I'll have to find a midi copy of it or something, so then I'll know how to hear this.

And you guys have a babpipe in your military band?????? O.o Hahahahaha, that's about as great as Amazing Grace done to bag pipe, or that one chick who had the CD "The hits of Korn (a hard core screaming metal band) as interpreted by the Irish Bagpipe Band!"

LMFAO Great stuff.

Wonderful work, David. This is a great dedication to a country, and also brought back some fond memories!

Canada Rocks! Great anthem, David...It's nice to see love for one's country expressed without adding in all the hate and disrespect for other countries and cultures that so often accompanies "patriotic" speech nowadays.

Oh, Canada, our great brotherland above!-- who gave us your David on the wings of the dove!
We'll think of you today.

Jim

Oh beautiful for spacious skys,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plane!

America! America!
God shead his grace on Thee,
And crown thy good with britherhood
From sea to shining sea!

I just had to get that in! LOL You love your country and that is admirable. I hope to come see you some year...well see your country I meen. This is nice, Anthony
