Where Did It All Go?
by Jennifer Simpliciano (Age: 19)
copyright 07-05-2005

Age Rating: 7 to 127

My first ever poem!

Where Did It All Go?

Where did it all go?
Where did it all run to?
The words that came so effortlessly.

I want that feeling again
The feeling of control
I want that high again
The high of words.

I want to whisk away
To a place undiscovered,
A place only I
Can see
Can hear
Can feel.

I want to see a page of white
And smile
But now,
Now it's smiling at me
Teasing me
Mocking me.

Where did it all go?
Where did it all run to?

It's good that a blank page mocks and teases someone, or else we'd never have such great poets, or story tellers! Some parts were very simple, and simple is good, because it leaves the reader imagining what you're trying to portray, encouraging thought and questions. Very good first poem! Welcome to PnP, and e-mail me if ya need anything :)
