That's what the babies do to themselves.
Bang. Bang.
Is something that just happens.

Does that really solve it?
Were the last words really said?
Did the good guy win?
Whatever happened to the bad guy?

Bang. Bang.
Dead on the floor.
Dead in the snow.
Rotting from the heat.
Freezing from the cold.

She smiles, she acts happy.
She gets home, and her head is shot off.
We lie, we fake lives.
We go home and we hear the gun's voice.

Bang. Bang.
Never said it was pretty.
Bang. Bang.
Never said it would create happiness.

I think the "Did the bad guy win?" should be changed a little, like
"Did the good guy win?
Is the bad guy dead?"

That would really give a shock. This is an AMAZING poem Caitlin! Wonderful job!!!
