An open letter to you all at P-n-P

I wish to thank you all on behalf of everyone on our island home.
On a personal note I am totally overcome with the response
from my friends here at PNP.

It is beyond any words that I have to express what I truly feel.
All the good wishes and words of comfort are beyond belief.
Most of us share a common ancestry, but even those who do not, have joined in the condemnation of these cowardly terrorists.
Just as it should be among civilised people, whatever their colour or religion.
One cannot blame a whole religion for the misguided acts of a few. In fact their religious leaders here have soundly condemned them.

Things are quickly returning to normal in London. Of course there is some apprehension, which is to be expected. But as they have all said, the terrorist will not win, will not make us run. Of course panic is a dirty word, it's just not done.
I could almost feel sorry for these terrorists, but only almost.

They should have studied the history of the people they have tried to break. We never have, and we never will.
Many countries have tried. None have succeeded.

These terrorists will be hunted and brought to account. Just like the Lockerbie bombers

Of course while we receive such support from our friends, it is written in stone that we will never bow to terror.
Many others and I have lived through far worse than this; we are still here.

Forgive me for ranting.
Thank you all my friends,
Brian.

First, let me say that I'm glad you are okay.
As I was reading this, one sentence just jumped out at me. I wish people all around the globe would think this way:

"One cannot blame a whole religion for the misguided acts of a few."

My husband is of the Islamic faith. He would never hurt anyone intentionally. Even some of the ignorant people he works with make generalized negative comments about muslims. It's sad that people have to judge others in this way. As my husband says, these terrorists claim to be muslims, but their religion does not allow many of the things they are doing. They are just terrorists, plain and simple, hiding behind a religion to do harm to others.

Now, I'll forgive your ranting, if you forgive mine! :)

Good to know you're okay. I guess this proves we're all in this together.

We're all affected, one way or the other. Keep writing!

Terrorism sucks. I also agree with you that we can't judge an entire people by the actions of a few. I do understand that in war, terrible things are always done by all sides. I just think that attacks should be confined to military targets, not civilians. I guess that's the difference between war and terrorism.Of course, the U.S. DID explode a nuclear bomb over Nagasaki and Hiroshima during World War Two. A lot of innocent civilians were harmed and killed, including women and children. Does that constitute a terrorist attack? I don't know. I'm a pacifist and to be perfectly honest, I think that humanities violent nature will one day be his own undoing. Sorry this was so long, but your story got me thinking.

Unfortunately this is becoming a fact of life everywhere. These so called leaders brainwash others into killing themselves for the sake of what they want.I don't understand how they do it and I don't want to! Sorry for your attack, ours is still vivid in my mind. I pray it doesn't happen again, but I am afraid it will! Anthony

I'm glad to hear that you all are staying strong. It is important, I would go as far as to say critical, at this time to come together. Bond closer. Become one and unify against this cause. Best of luck to you all, blessings and wishes as well. I agree with Buddy, I hope all you know and love are alright. Take care!!!

I hope everyone's okay, though I know not everyone is. I hate to see that the terrorists are in fact still causing trouble for us all, I had heard nothing of them for so long I though they disappeared. ;-)

I was out camping when this all happened, but I found out when I got home, so I hope they are brought to justice soon. I hope you, your family, and your friends are all okay.
