Forever Caught
by Mary -BrytEyz- Ball (Age: 38)
copyright 07-10-2005

Age Rating: 7 to 127

In your net of heartache
Many a fish have been caught
Swim to get away, they have
Vain effort's all for naught

Defense and armor useless
Old and young alike I bet,
Some directly seduced I'm sure
But some ... quite by accident,

Big fish, little fish, and me
Among this angled hoard,
Swims a fish intentionally
A fish that you've adored,

She's patient and she's quiet
When you look she's always there,
This fair maiden fish is different
Her reflection's everywhere

So in this deep and watery world
Of too few truths and many lies,
When hate seems to be adored
And love it seem's despised,

There exists a simple truth
Of lasting endurance and of beauty...
The fact that you, my dear one,
Have forever in your net... "caught" me

*Smile*... sometimes,
the truth is undeniable.
Sometimes the lie,
irresistable.
Sometimes...
they are one in the same.
Though details
maybe one day forgotten
I shall never
forget his name!

Thank you for reading, rating, and most of all... commenting. It really means a lot!

This is a beautiful poem, and the way you wrote it is definitly unique! I like the way you arranged the words...it's hard for some people to actually write rhymed works, but you did a magnificent job!

It sounds like you got caught by the right person and are a very blessed person. Take care and Have fun. Steve

There may be many fish in the sea, there is always that special one that stands out from the rest.
Now I'm wondering who "caught" who? lol

Sometimes being caught is a good thing as I know you do know. We all have the stories of love that was supposed to be for ever and ended the next day. This was a nice way to put a sad truth in life, yet if the end is not written then the end is not here yet! Love and Kisses to you and yours! Anthony
