"The beautiful sunset, drenched from the ocean, sitting on the boardwalk, spending the day with my love. Something so perfect had to mean something going wrong." Kaylie thought to herself as Ben snuggled up to her.
He smiled,"Hey, you okay?"
She stopped thinking,"Oh! Umm yeah, course, just thinking too much."
He held her hand lightly. Smirking a bit, maybe about to frown.
"Well, I know all the problems were not your fault, but my mom suggests moving is the best solution."
One Flashback: Ben and Kaylie watched their so called friend place a lit match in someone's food. They stared blankly, couldn't believe what they just saw. That helpless person had the lit match stuck on his lip as he took a bite and had burned right in the restaurant. They'll never regret the guilt on their shoulders. He would have lived if they took action.
Kaylie freaked out,"WHAT!" Tears fired out of her eyes. Ben held her tight, whispering to her,"Sssh ssh shh. It's okay, it's okay, calm down."
That made her furious,"NO IT'S NOT! I LOVE YOU! YOU ARE THE ONLY REASON I LIVE!"
Ben gently moved two fingers on her mouth,"I will always love you, you know that. Please, I don't wanna leave you seeing you in tears. I wanna remember you as my happy, wonderful, beautiful lover."
Kaylie managed to stay strong as she kissed Ben lightly.
Ben smiled,"Come on, it's late, let's enjoy our last walk together."
Hand in hand, closer than ever, but their insides were ripped open bleeding. Their hearts were experiencing much worse. Finally, they arrived Ben's house. One last time they stared deep into each other's eyes on his door step. They held each other as long as forever it seemed. Ben grabbed Kaylie close while giving her the perfect goodbye kiss. She smiled, and began to walk home.
When she became unclear to see Ben whispered,"I'll come back for you."
Kaylie jumped on her bed, scanning through her diary.
Dear diary,
Today Ben and I were beaten by some creepy guy on the street. He was so evil, my mother sobbed and held me tight the entire day. Though the bruise stings so badly for me I wonder how Ben is doing about this.
Love,
Me.
"Ugh! This place really is horrible!" she slammed the diary against her wall. "Why aren't I leaving too?! I SUFFERED ENOUGH! DAMN THIS WORLD!"
These feelings were no stranger to her, maybe they loved her more than Ben. Kaylie's head slammed on her white, lacy pillow. Her tears flew in mid air.
She cried while breathing in and out quickly with a little studdering. These were her last words before falling asleep.
"I I I I I hate you! I hate you! Dadadadadaaaamn you!"
Ben wasn't so cheerful either. He was furious, as if flames took over him. Ben took pencils and stabbed them till the point broke. Most of them took one try. After the point had snapped he threw it on the floor. Of course, this still didn't do the trick! He knew that last walk wasn't enough. It finally hit him, Ben was wearing all black, it was hard to see him. This brought a daring idea to his head. He didn't care, he had to! It was very late so his parents were asleep. Ben had snuck out of his house to see Kaylie! Knowing it was pretty risky he took a shortcut. Ben climbed up the tree in front of her house. He found the branch closet to her window and held tight on it. His hand reached out to lighty tap it.
"What the!" Kaylie awoke from the noise. She rubbed her eyes, opening it. Once she saw Ben smiling her face light up. Kaylie grabbed him so he could come in her room. Ben hugged her with tears falling down.
"I had to see once more, I just had to." Kaylie sat on her bed with him. They stared into each other's eyes deeply. This time it was almost frightening, like they knew the other one's thoughts. Ben leaned towards Kaylie, he stroked his hands through her hair while kissing her. She kissed him back wrapping her arms around him. Once the kiss was about to get intense on her bed they both heard someone's foot steps. Ben jumped out of the window in a flash.
At that exact moment they whispered,"I'll come back for you."
Ben ran home as fast as he could. It was all luck that his parents never knew.
Kaylie's mom opened her door laughing,"Stop kissing your pillow and go to sleep!"
And so the night passed which led to the morning of Ben's moving day.
He kept all Kaylie's gifts in a special box. Once they arrived their new house it would stay in a spot so gifted. His mom didn't care much about his love for Kaylie. She wanted to move and that was final! Ben threw many tantrums and fits when she suprised it on him. Now Ben would be dead silent, he'd be his own person. While Kaylie's memories walked with him.
That was when Kaylie was thirteen and Ben was fourteen.
Kaylie had became close with Ben's friends. And eventually by the age of sixteen she recieved his adress. And this was just perfect because they still connected through the computer. But they both still wanted to see each other in reality. She hugged Chris screaming.
"THANK YOU!!!! THANK YOU!!"
He just laughed while hugging her back.
"Are you sure your ready to visit him?"
"Well you'll need to come with me just in case. I am just a chick."
He nodded,"Alright, we'll tell our parents. I'll call you."
Later that day Kaylie announced her trip with Chris. Her parents freaked out on this so called happy annoucement.
Trying to calm them down she made a suggestion,"How about all of us go to visit him and his family?" They agreed so Kaylie called Chris telling him the new idea.
"Alright, well I wish the best for you two."
It was pretty busy day, so they all went to sleep. And now it was morning, around 6 AM.
"COME ON I WANNA DRIVE FIRST!" Kaylie screamed jumping around the front lawn.
Her parents yawned and gave her permission to drive first. They both slept in the back seat with seat belts on. Kaylie was so excited, screaming while she was driving. She gave the finger to the finger to the ugly person driving the truck. She didn't gave a damn about the world, she was seeing her soul mate once again!
Yet, she didn't think twice if he had a a bad day or temper. So, in an instant the truck swerved into her car. She flew back to the back of the car with her blood flying everywhere. Her parents were good sleepers so sadly they still remained asleep.
"BEN I LOVE YOU!!" was her last scream as she choked on her own blood. Kaylie, was now dead in her car.
The truck driver had paused, got out of his truck. He was so lucky that it was a quiet road that nobody ever went on. He was now weak in the knees while looking at Kaylie dead. The truck driver was Ben!
"KAYLIE!" He dropped on the floor,"Oh my god, oh my god, NO NO NO!" Ben knew they would come back, but he didn't know it'd be so soon.
Someday Ben will come back for Kaylie, maybe it'll be suicide, maybe he'll die from old age. The world will never know.
