A Song Just For You
by Jane L. (Age: 14)
copyright 07-10-2005

Age Rating: 10 to 127

  A Song Just For You

I'll open up the hearts,
Of lonely people.
Deep inside my heart,
Comes out a sweet melody.
Inside the memories of sadness,
I'll fill it up with happiness.
With the overflowing music rythym.

A flower wakes up to the gentle wind.
Filling it up with the words,
'I love you'.

Yesterday the song that I made,
It has the magic of love.
The love that I dreamed of,
And wished for...
I'm gonna sing out my heart,
So everyone can feel it.
A song just for you!

I'll open the hearts,
Of lonely people.
Deep inside my heart,
Comes out a sweet melody.
Inside the memories of sadness,
I'll fill it up with happiness.
With the overflowing music rythym.

Heh heh...the three word phrase we all scowl at when somebody we know is getting all worried about saying it to the person we know, and we always end up going, "Aww, shoot..." when we realize that we're also getting all dramatic over it. Did you ever wonder if there's something more fickle than the human heart? If there is, I never want to meet it. -.- Anyway, this is a nice upbeat poem. I'm not entirely sure why it doesn't stand out to me much, especially because I'm not in a bad mood or anything right now... I sometimes have a slight distaste to upbeat poems when I'm reading them in a bad mood, and find myself rereading them again for a quality check when I comment, but I think I'm only making a rambling example of how fickle humans are... Doing better with the caps, but still a few capitalization-lacking places. In the long run, good work! Sorry for randomizing so much...

Wow. This is a really good song Jane. The only thing is that I think you could make it longer, but then again, I think almost everyone can make their poems a bit longer in one way or another. ^.^
