Light & Darkness
by Leigh G.
copyright 12-07-2005

Age Rating: 7 to 127

It was once light the world was all light. The people love the light. They wanted it fore themselves and darkness was born in there hearts. They began to might over the light. But fragments of light still lived. In the hearts of children. They held the light safe and pasted on the light to there children. As did they to theirs. The light will be pasted on till those of the light can have enough power to over come the darkness. When they are born the darkness will thrive and try to kill the light be they will not win. In the end light will win. But darkness will not be destroyed completely. The darkness power will be the same as the light. All even. Not perfect...
"But as it was meant to be."
And one girl just can't except that...

Chapter 1
Start

"Hurry up Akeyu! Do you want to be late for class?"
"Oh, come on! I don't have my aura in a on demand form like you! I don't know how you except me to keep up!"
"Just come on!"
I'm the 13 year old Akeyu. All of my family has a power. The power of aura. All my family had a aura. The power of aura is a weapon and and a way to see the future. But just like you feel really bad and then the next day you get a F on a test in human school. My family has the power of both. But me... Well I have gotten some pre-seeings but I never have been able to fight with it. My friend, Linoma had her aura power in physical power. She could run amazingly fast, jumping unnaturally high, and anything else. She was on the guys football team in human school. And she would always kick their butts. We where on our way to Aura training class and as always my little friend, who had muscles like a man, was running way ahead of me as I panted and sweatted behind her. AKA a normal day. On weekdays we went to human school. On weekends we went to Aura school.
As you would except Aura school was hidden away from human eyes. And so you needed a Aura to open the door there. There was a key hold in a brick wall in a ally of downtown New York. A extremely dangerous place, if you don't have a friend who's ripped. So most people were intimidated by Linoma. So we were safe. We approached the wall. and ducked into the ally. The key hole had started to glow as we approached. I could only feel it glowing and see a blur. Most Aura practicer could feel and see an aura. Me? No. How I'm even in aura school id beyond me. Linoma Held you her hand and a key aura appeared in it. I could only feel it's key shape but I could tell it was a key. I guess that counts for something.
As she did the door began to shine and with a huge glow, which I could almost see clearly, the wall disappeared in a doorway just big enough for two girls to pass through. Well one normal sized girl and a really strong girl. Even though as many people said I do have some aura power. Because my body was... very obvious to my gender. Or to say it in a normal way. The guys in my schools... They wouldn't use such a light adjective. As we landed with a soft thump on the ground, both of us landing on our feet, we were there. I looked up at the finilerar middle ages style castle and walked forward with the other grope of students.
We were all wearing the mandatory uniforms, a silver skirt, silver knee boots, silver long silver shirt, length pending on the season, and red cape. The cape was quite annoying because it alway flapped around the floor. And there was no such thing as "stealth" when wearing one. And people who have attack auras wouldn't have a easy time fighting while wearing one.
We walked forward, and through the huge double doors leading into the castle. I sighed as the doors closed behind us and we all waked, not ran to avoid punishment, to the back door of the castle. Today was the dreaded day of flight aura. The ability to create wings attacked to your body compressing by the power of aura. I was really dreading this because I couldn't even conjure the aura key to get to school! And flying? Feh! That'll be the day! I was looking pretty grim as we walked on to the large open field where we would start practicing.
"Attention students!" Came the voice for today's teacher. "Today we will finally be working on flight using our auras. This isn't a easy task and many wont be able to do this for quite a while, but we will all try our best."
As she continued, I wondered why does a teacher always say "we" like they are going to take this math teat too? Or in this case as if they were going to bust there buts, playing with aura wings and actually do this thing called "work". And not just command you around. Maybe that's why there all so fat... As I looked around, I saw a... a star in the sky... A green star... A unnatural star...
