Hey! I take offense to that! lol. A Very good poem Brian. You take a stereotype of both women and how men acts towards women and express it well. The only thing I thought sounded odd was when you used "dubious". It threw the flow off a bit there, but it was still an easy read. Keep it up.

You take a stereotype, add a profound truth, and make it funny to boot. The rhyme and meter add lightness to the verse. So well said. Way to go, Brian!
Very good piece of poetry to write. It sounds like that you were treated very good when you was married but you got divorced at a very young age. I say that you should have stayed married.
I can identify with this poem, as I am single again after 40 years of marriage. I'm glad I don't have to do all that floor scrubbing and dishwashing; of course I am living in squalor. Very nice work. Fred.
Sounds like you were spoiled when you were married. I clean the floors and the bathroom and wash the dishes. My lovely wife cooks for me and packs my lunches and does the laundry. I guess I'd call that 50/50. Seems to work for us
Boy,...when I stop laughing are you ever going to get a lecture on being a typical male...This is very well put together. I really liked the form and rhythm pattern you used, it fits this poem perfectly...Your writing versatility amazes me...keep it up (So it's drudgery, huh?),
Jean
Must be nice to be spoiled. I've washed my own clothes( Can't wash hers, I don't do it right!! )and dishes are usually mine too. Its fair, she cooks, I clean. We were made for one another. I don't want to be single, got to used to being yelled at, I go crazy alone. This was a great poem. Thanks, Anthony
LMAO! You know what? My mother told my father once "You want a mom, not a wife!" I'm starting to think that's true! XD Too bad mom never did mine or my brothers laundry, ironing, or our dishes. I guess we're more prepared for single life :P lol
