Standing by Stahlhut
by James Shammas (Age: 44)
copyright 07-15-2005

Age Rating: 4 to 127

There once was a man named Stahlhut,
Who once had an 80's haircut.
He looked like a nerd,
Then became wise with a word,
Now we love him on the P-n-P circuit.

This is too cute. Anthony... yes he has had his weird hair cut, but we don't love him any less because of it. Nice write.

I'm guessing the battle has ended.
Your words and ideas have blended.
You each took a shot,
Made stew in a pot,
And your friendship has now been amended!

You guys are way too funny! That's one of the things I really love about PnP! I love the poetry, the prose, the friendship, the 'kindness' and the comments. But most of all, the fun! I regret not joining a long time ago.

BJ :D

Do I sense a resentment, here? I really hope you were never really offended.

LOL, Jim

Stew is looking real good, but I think I'll stick with cow meat! Jim, I would never cook you like stew even though you said I look like a nerd. I believe in what they say and I turn the other cheek! (I had to unbutton my pants to expose it though)I'm smiling, I'm smiling, Anthony LOL

OK, but my shot is so poor
and I've got nothing more.
I'm no match for you,
You'll cook me like stew,
then wipe me right off the floor!

Jim, I have to give you a hand,
but you see they don't understand.
Debra Rose is a honey,
and might think its funny,
your head nurse is really a man!

Your shot.......

Anthony knows I love him. If it wasn't for him, and his motley crew, I would have left a long time ago. He actually is handsome, though. Maybe I'll give up the head nurse!!

Jim

You know, I keep coming back to this, just to read the responses. This is so great! Thanks for posting this James, and I hope David knows...we're holding him to that promise of the picture with the beard :D LOL

07-16-2005 Anthony Lane Stahlhut

Well,.. and thats a deep subject...sence this picture was taken in 1980, I suppose a 70's haircut wasn't that far out of style! Jim I thought you were my friend. I have never told anyone that your head nurse picked out your last anniversary present! Just kidding, I said this picture wasn't as far back as Jack's. Gosh I feel old now! Love ya all, even Jim I guess! Anthony

Hey, I like the haircut. At least he has hair. Now I would suspect that some of you out there that have not posted a picture may be a shy in that area. One day I will post an old picture of me when I not only had lots of hair, but a really cool beard.

07-15-2005 Debra Rose

YES! We love him, DESPITE the haircut! lol

Did you mean "The became wise with a word" to say "then became"? This is an awesome poem, James! Hilarious!
