Never Known Secrets

by Mary -BrytEyz- Ball (Age: 43)
copyright 09-23-2001

Age Rating: 1 +

Oh if waves could speak,
but could they,
And if walls could talk,
but would they?

All the secrets that
they must hold,
Will be the things that
are never told...

Stories and tales not
for our ears,
Collected thru time
and many years

Will always be kept
safe and sound
Whispered on winds
when no one's around.

Inspired by Betty Lockey's "Forever Green"...

Secrets can be such complicated things! Some don't matter at all, others seem to be better, and others are tormenting. Very good work on this one!

Secrets, the secrets don't scare me, but there are other inanimate objects that could spin a tale about the things I've done! The sirens are coming, I have to go. Got to get these cuffs off, then the straight jacket will come off easier. LATER! Anthony

Robert, I'd love to know what you'd write about in this area... you're a wonderful writer yourself!

CLB: I'll stick to poetry, you can write "the rest of the story" ... how about that??? Ok? LOL. I can never seem to finish what I start. Poems are short enough, I eventually finish them... usually. *giggle*

ARL: I'm broke, what do you want? LOL. No seriously, thank you once more for your flattering comments. Please, if you ever do see room for improvement, don't hesitate to let me know. ok? Your comment has given me some ideas for new material... (voice inside my head: Oh no! Here she goes again! *moan*)

John Mcleod: I KNOW what you mean! (I'm glad things like golf courses, amusement parks, cars, couches, and even play ground equipment can't speak. I'd be in a heap of trouble.) The inanimate are our best secret keepers. Know what I mean? LOL. Most likely not all of what I'm saying makes sense to you, but it will to others... I'm sure. :)

A fine poem Mary, I think it is a good job that some things cannot tell their tale as who knows what they might say.
