A War Of Words (to my friends at P-n-P)

A War Of Words (to my friends at P-n-P)

My apologies to the ones I missed. I know you'll understand

A war of words among some friends,
Now where do I begin?
To let one person off the hook,
Would really be a sin.

Now where to start – there’s Anthony,
The Texan with the hair,
Now I’d compare my pic to his,
But that would not be fair.

There’s Dr. Jim, neurologist,
Who sees both death and pain,
And when he shares these in a poem,
We’re never quite the same.

And then there’s our dear Debra Rose,
The family’s Juggalette,
She says she'll rule the world one day,
But hasn’t done it yet.

There’s Brian from the British Isles,
The eldest of the pack,
He’s seen the good and bad in life,
But keeps on bouncing back.

And Mary ‘BrytEyz”, what a doll,
A fan of “Heather’s Feathers”,
A hopelessly romantic girl,
Released from many fetters.

There’s Roger Crique, philosopher,
Who keeps me in my place,
I listen and I understand,
The points he often makes.

And last, not least, we have Jean George,
Who also loves my “Heather”,
My thanks for reading all my work,
I tip my hat and feather.

These are my friends at P-n-P,
And this is what I know,
Though I won’t meet them in the flesh,
Their friendship always grows.

you had a really good idea and turned it into a poem to cement friendships. I salute you.

Oh David, how can we truly have 'war' of words with each other when you write so very nicely about all of us....Everything you say is true and this is why I chose to join this poetry website and not the many others....This was obviously written with affection for your fellow writers here and as such is very much valued.

This is truly a beautiful, classy, and tasteful poem, not because you mentioned my name or anyone else's for that matter, but because the words you employed fitted like a jigsaw puzzle. This tribute to friendship is both moving and humbling. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart and I want you to know that your sentiments are sincerely reciprocated!

This is so good and you said that you did not write at command. We learn new things everyday and it is great to watch our writing improve with time! Anthony

David I think you speak for us all. It is amazing to think of the different countries and lifestyles here at Pnp. The glue that binds us is words.
Maybe we don't always use the right ones, I know that I don't. Thanks to Bob's spell check my spelling has improved, now if only he could correct my grammer I would be a happy man,,,,lol. But friendly help is always at hand.
It's just a shame that the rest of the people in this world of ours do not get along as we do.
Take care my friend, Brian.
