I'm waiting for my dying day,
When all the pain will pass,
This sickness has the best of me,
And I don't think I'll last.
It crept inside my very soul,
I didn't see it come,
It happened when I saw your face,
I couldn't even run.
I always knew that you were there,
And didn't pay much notice,
But just the way you looked that night,
It set my mind in focus.
And now I'm very sick in love,
They say there is no cure,
For love that stabs you in the heart,
I'm dying, that's for sure.
You wouldn't even look my way,
And though I tried my best,
You looked at every other guy,
And went out with the rest.
So now in pain I slowly die,
And hope it soon will come,
So I can end this misery,
And to this death succumb.
