My First Flower (A Triolet)

  My First Flower (A Triolet)

He gave me my first flower
All wrapped in a white bow,
Soft white, pink, and lavender--
He gave me my first flower.

I'm amazed that just one stranger
could make me blush just so.
He gave me my first flower,
All wrapped in a white bow.

This guy I barely know apparently likes me, and he brought me a flower. It's the first time someone has ever done something like this for me, and I never realized just why girls like it so much. I'm still blushing and feeling like I'm walking on air :) (As I said to Brian...it's amazing how fast I can be reduced to a giggling school girl).

It's always the simplest things that can make us so very, very happy. Keep up the excellent work Debra, and thanks again for sharing. Take care!

Debra, got to say that your poem is a bright romantic contrast to most of your darker writings. I love the aspects of both! Wonderful write.

How lovely! Seems to have made a lasting impression. It's refreshing to know there are still those who can innocently touch someones heart.
