What Do You Do?
by David Pekrul
copyright 07-23-2005

Age Rating: 10 to 127

What do you do,
when "All the world's a stage",
but you are stuck in the bleachers?

What do you do,
when neither winning nor losing really matters,
"It's how you play the game",
but nobody invited you to play?

What do you do,
when "Every cloud has a silver lining",
but you are dying in a heat-wave,
and there's not a cloud in the sky?

What do you do,
when "There's a light at the end of the tunnel",
but it turns out to be an oncoming train?

What do you do,
when "You're only as young as you feel",
but you feel like you're 86, when you're only 39?

What do you do,
when you are encouraged,
"Never (to) go to bed angry" with your lover,
but you sleep alone?

And what do you do,
when they say that
"The end justifies the means",
but you don't have the means
or the strength to make it to the end?

Then it's simply time to
"Put the past behind you",
for
"Tomorrow is another day".

"Reach out and touch someone",
then take a nap.

This is so sad. The subject has lost it all and has no strength to go on. I feel like this Monday mornings! Take a nap, guess old people do this, right? I hate to try sleep, the nightmare is hard enough to live, let alone to wake up to also! Funny one, though the reality of it is seriously sad! Anthony
