Till I Die
by Debra Rose (Age: 21)
copyright 08-09-2005

Age Rating: 13 to 127

I was cutting papers at work to fit the call numbers on the side of the DVD's, (I work at a library) and this is what I came up with while singing.

I'm cutting papers till I die,
I'm working on the nine to five,
I'm stuck inside this daily grind.
Counting down the passing time,
till I die.

And I hate each paycheck that I see,
For Uncle Sam just takes this money,
To go and take some others life--
blood for oil is the price.
And I belive it'll never change,
it will always be the same.
It will always be this way,
till I die,
Till I die.

It will be this way,
Till I die.

And if you see Jr. Bush, just know
Where I think that he can go,
He treats us like his dancing monkeys,
Fake WMD's to him are so funny,
And I'm watching the bombs drop, till I die,
And I don't think it'll ever stop,
until I die,
Till I die.

And I don't think it'll ever stop
Till I die.

And I know that all this labor goes,
to turn wives and mothers into widows,
and no matter how I protest this
My voice gets lost in all the mess,
So I'm trapped inside all of this
Till I die.

I will never see the end of this
Till I die.

I'm working the daily nine to five,
thanking god I'm in this grind,
I'd rather have cut paychecks,
then the USA staring at my neck
He'll tax and tax and never rest,
till they die.

He'll tax and tax and never rest,
Till They Die.

I'd rather be all safe at home,
than bombed or bombing, this I know.
And I'm paying for his war, till I die.
And I'm hating it all the more,
till I die....

THIS IS THE REASON WHY I VOTE!!! Even then, there's always just another war waiting.

Oh...and any help with getting the rest of the rythm to flow, or ways to improve, are greatly welcomed. I keep editing it, but it just keeps being awkward...

Debra I agrees with David our Canadian troops have been sent to the USA because of this war. I mean both Canada & the USA are losing men because of this. Your poem got me & I know how you feel about this war thing, I don't like it much myself.
