Sorry, My Devil
by Caitlin M. (Age: 16)
copyright 07-27-2005

Age Rating: 10 to 127

Wish I could be with you.
If only I could change.
Take me out of heaven.

I'm sorry that the angels like me.
Wish I could be with you.
With blood running so fast.
And a strong hate for the good.

But deep inside you still love God.
When I truly don't believe in one.
Fire loves to play around with you.
Harp players bow down to my entrance.

Death makes you smile.
Happiness brightens my day.
Nobody knows that we're perfect.
Wish I could be with you.

Sorry, my devil.
They don't understand.
All the angels pull me away.
I've tried to escape the gates.
You've attempted to climb the pits of fire.

'Cause you know I'm the one.
And I know your mine.
Don't fight the angels.
I won't fight the devils.

I miss being alive.
We were always together.
Sharing the world's beauty.
God was tired of us promising we'd be forever.
So now his angels and devils choose our future.

Sorry, my devil.
They don't believe us.
We will always know we were meant to be.
If only I could change.
Then they'd believe.
Stereotypes have destroyed us.
And now their out to kill our love.
Wish I could be with you.
Sorry, my devil.

I think you showed the difference betuen people and how so many don't like it and try to rip you appert. And if I sound stupin than it is because I have no EXP in the topic. But on more normal things I love the poem but I give it a 4 it was good!

It's hard wanting someone who is so obviously wrong for you. Yet the wrongness makes them ever more allureing. Hmmm... I have a lot to think about now. Good write, loved it to death.
Keep up the good work.

Hmph... what to comment about this one... It had a sort of maybe, like, Romeo and Juliette kinda feel to it. Very unique and the rhythm in it was very good 2! Its nice to see another poem written by the one and only, fabulous Caitlin ^_^ Keep up the amazing work! =)
