What's to say? Theme of the week!!!
It seems to me I commented on the grammar of this piece. Who cares? Nice theme, as always.

If peace were hate, it would arouse passion in people. Purpose. A sense of fulfillment. A chance to take the boiling energy and do soemthing with it. Hate is passion, purpose. Water is need. Greed is boiling desire. Money is God. Peace...peace is calm and content. Confidence in self and patience. All opposite of the adrenaline rush of the passions you compare it to. If only we could be so passionate about true joy, perhaps peace would fit into the picture.
"I'm not sure if war is a temporary disruption of peace, or peace is an interlude to war." (I can't remember who said that).
I think the last two lines affected me the most. I love your writing, Rene

This is a good piece about peace. I think that this is a very good poem. I thought about it, and you're right. I may be 12 years old, but I like to say stuff like this. Humans hate. It's our nature to hate, or despise. If peace were hate, then everybody would have their understanding of it, but we don't exactly know what hate is either. We can pass it off as a feeling of extreme dislike, but it's so much more than that. Peace, Love, Hate, these things that we cannot understand with our tiny human minds. Oh sure, we can make up all these fancy explainations of what they are, like for Love: a feeling of great affection. Sure, that's love, or lust, but Love goes deeper than we can ever understand. One day, in Heaven, we will understand, but not here on Earth. It's not our time yet.

If only humanity wanted peace. I think it is against our very nature to be peaceful for long.
We would seem to enjoy having a built in self destruct.
Good news sells few papers.

This piece is certainly food for thought! I guess there are lots of people thinking peaceful thoughts at this moment and many dying as a result!
