Rockin' To The Rhythm
by David Pekrul
copyright 07-30-2005

Age Rating: 10 to 127

Rockin' to the rhythm,
And the beat of oldies past,
This music now is classic,
And I know it's going to last.

From Ricky Nelson's 'Mary Lou',
To Elvis' 'Hound Dog',
This music is much better
Than the tunes the stations flog.

They tell us Country Western
Is the music that is cool,
But I just have to disagree,
I am nobody's fool.

For Rock-And-Roll is where it's at,
And where it's always been,
So rock-on with The Beach Boys,
Come and join the music scene.

I agree, Elvis was, is and always will be, king. Had he lived we would have been the same age.
One of my big regrets in life is not seeing him live.
However, I am very catholic in my taste. I like Purple and Hawkwind, Pink and Queen, and a lot more.
Even some country.
Also lot of the 'classics'. After all, they were the 'pop' music of their day.
There is not much 'modern' music that even comes close.
Well done, Brian.

Well I do like Country Music ( you know if you play the records back-wards you get your dog back) I was a fan of Rock and Roll first, last and always! Styx and The Stones. Zeppelin is still the best! Rock on Garth!
