  Just the Usual

Amy walked down the dark sidewalk. The sounds of footsteps behind her getting closer by the second. She quickened her pace as she clutched her books to her chest. Her breathing became harder as her walk turned into a run.
The steps behind her also seemed to get faster and faster. She ran around a corner and propped herself against the brick walls, out of breath.
"I know you're there!" she shouted, half unsure.
The sounds of the footsteps had stopped. She mustered up all of her courage and slowly turned her head to peer around the corner.
She almost had a heart attack when she came face to face with Serena. Amy fell to the ground, trembling.
Serena smirked. "Thought you'd get away from me huh?"
Amy panted lightly as she spoke. "Really Serena, why can't you find someone else to study with? I have my own studying to do."
"Aww, c'mon Ames. You know you're the only one I can depend on."
Amy got up from the sidewalk with Serena's help. She sighed. "I suppose so Serena. I guess I should help you out." Amy seemed to stare blankly at something behind Serena. "But I suppose we should take care of that zombie first," she said calmly. Over the past few months it seemed that all they were dealing with were zombies. They had even developed specialized powers to deal with them.
Serena also sighed. "I guess you're right Amy." She spun around to face the zombie. "Moon Prism Power!" she shouted.
From behind her, Amy was in her familiar transformation stance. "Mercury Crystal Power!"
A few moments later they were transformed and ready to fight, which was a good thing, because at that moment, about twenty more zombies came from out of the dark alley from across the street.
The first zombie tried to grab Sailor Moon and she Karate chopped it to the ground.
Mercury went into a strange stance. "Mercury Icy Dirt Nap!" she yelled and ice crystals flew from her hands into the ground underneath the hoard of hungry zombies, freezing them to the ground.
Sailor Moon kicked the head off the zombie at her feet and got into a mysterious stance as well. "Moon Zombie Jamboree!" she hissed and she twirled around with her moon wand. Then rainbow lights shot from the wand and hit the zombies. Still frozen to the ground they began to dance as some really cool music played, seemingly out of nowhere.
"Venus Love Chain Beheading!" they heard from around the corner. A golden whip of razors flew over the dancing zombies and cut off all of their heads, the only sure way to destroy a zombie. "Hi guys" said Sailor Venus as if she were greeting them at a casual get together.
"Hey Venus," said Sailor Moon, also devoid of emotion, as if the recent battle hadn't even phased her.
"Uh guys," whispered Amy. "I hate to spoil everyone's evening, but I estimate about a hundred more zombies in our immediate vicinity."
"Looks like it's going to be another long night," smirked Venus.
"I guess so," Sailor Moon replied as she and the other Scouts all began to laugh at some apparent joke.

Oh God, it's a running gag! Poor girls.

LMBO! This is really funny! They're all just so casual about everything! And the attacks..."Venus Love Chain Beheading"! "Moon Zombie Jamboree"! "Mercury Icy Dirt Nap"! Priceless.

"...as she and the other Scouts all began to laugh at some apparent joke."

I love how you alluded to the fact that you always find the scouts laughing randomly for no apparent reason. That is weird...lol!

Thanks for writing this! You snapped me right out of my boredom!

Jenna
