The Rain
by Lyle Berry (Age: 61)
copyright 09-24-2001

Age Rating: 18 to 127

We stood in the moonlit glade,
as the first chilled droplets
raised gooseflesh on our nakedness.
I watched in envy as one trickled, tickling -
cascading first from earlobe to lean shoulder
running impishly between cleavage then
racing over sheer planes and steep curves
to be caught glistening in glee with others
in her maidenhair.

Another fell from her quivering lip
directly to the tip of a tumescent nipple
and clung, longingly, till gravity
would no longer permit its caress
and at last, it plummeted reluctantly
to the ferns and spiderwebs
on the forest floor.

They came more impatiently now,
whispering seductively,
joyously showering tangled tresses,
lapping at her bruised eye lids and veiled lashes,
bussing her high, taut cheeks,
laving the stretch of gazelle neck
running in rivulets blending to tiny streams -
synergistic in their blissful explorations
of her delectable surfaces -
pouring over pert breasts and flat belly –
increasingly anxious to dissolve,
and absorb her salts and perfumes -
Enraptured by the flavor of her tawny skin,
now drenching pouting pubis and fine-downed thighs,
languishing in the wonder of her tangible musk -
flowing over muscled calves and sweet, slender feet
luxuriating in her essence –
sinfully saturating -
tasting and delighting
in every part
of her succulent aura.
I gazed in awe
while the Rain
brought her to
the Zenith.

Ummm.. wow. It's getting quite warm in here, or is that just me? *grin* Thank you for the heat wave.

Dear Kelly: Thank you very much for your nice response to my poem. A flat tummy is not a prerequisite - in fact I prefer a well-rounded one myself. LOL! This was just a made up creature, not necessarily my ideal. Thanks for the read.

Dear Robert: It was the glow and radiance of her beauty that illuminated the glade. The moon was there only to add a touch of romantic backdrop.
