Water Colours

I guess this could describe my least favourite colours, at least when it comes to the oily rainbow colours in polluted oil spills

Look upon the water,
The colours of the deep,
Things that we are sowing there,
Are things that we will reap.

See the dolphins jumping,
The whales, like mighty ships,
They could be in jeopardy,
Because of oil slicks.

A slick upon the water,
The colour of despair,
In the name of industry,
Does anybody care?

Colours of the rainbow,
In oily magnitude,
Slowly killing ocean life,
This sticky thing called Crude.

See all nature weeping,
And watch her colours die,
Unless we are more careful,
And by her rules abide.

Very nice, and yes, so true, people today are sp selfish and well to be blunt most only think about themselves, and it seems like nobody cares anymore. Money gets in the way of everything and a lot of people are money-obsessed. But, I guess some people don't realize it... although you'd think they would with all the signs and websites and stuff people've made becasue they're concerned at least. "Cause everybody points fingers at people while saying 'Oh, no I haven't ever done anything to polute the environment!'but guess what? Everybody on this earth has poluted at least I'll bet five times at the very least. But you know what? Someday almost all marine life will be endangered and have to be put in special habitats, and there's going to have to be huge water filters made for the oceans (because the water in the rivers that's filtered that we drink form is from the ocean technically)and that'll probably cost millions. Then people will maybe start to think a little. But anywho, sorry I just got out of my frusterated mood though...which I was in and yeah sp great poem as always I loved it!

This would definitely work, in a world where everyone could live in peace. There would be no starvation, no abuse, no crimes at all. This is a dream world. We can't even save the rainforests and stop global warming. *we're all doomed*

I like where you were going with this and I hope we get there, but I think we're lost! Thanks, Anthony
